Windevoid Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) I had a thought back in high school. What if the reason no nukes were detonated after WW2 and why they all look like normal gas explosions was that nukes don't exist the way mainstream physics says? Could have involved pyrotechnics, normal explosives and camera tricks, also. What if maybe Bruce Cathie was right? Can metal really explode? Why only radioactive elements? Could radioactivity be something else? I've seen YouTube videos of plasma cutters "vaporizing" metal or cutting it. No nuclear explosion there. Would a small piece of metal or a small bomb even be able to produce the thick black and gray clouds it the videos? I say no! I could be mistaken, but how would/could I be mistaken?! EdEarl Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 What if you did not attend high school, it was only a dream, and that explains why you did not learn any science. Moreover, you are still dreaming, and nothing you think exists does actually exist. What if the sun does not exist, and there is no radiation (you think of as light) striking the Earth.

swansont Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 The bottom line here is that you have not even bothered to educate yourself in the least on the matter, and that's all on you. Bombs were detonated after WWII, many of them — atmospheric testing continued into the 1960s. The radioactivity from them have been used in various science experiments, including testing purportedly old wine to see if it actually predates 1945. C-14 and Cs-137 are two isotopes whose abundance was skewed by the detonations and are detected in experiments. This is the speculations section, not the philosophy section. ! Moderator Note Yes, it's the speculations section. But it's not the "drunken/high late-night dorm room discussion" section. IOW, it's not the place to speculate that every atom in your thumb could be a universe unto itself or anything similar. We expect a model and evidence or tests that could be run to falsify the model. Posts like this are little more than preaching, which is against the rules. Stop it. Since this is trivially falsified, it is closed. 2
