It's London Weekend Televison 1976 interview by Peter Jay

http://www.chomsky.info/interviews/19760725.htm

Cannot find video of it. But Peter Jays papers also mention it as one of a series of three:

The Jay Interview. Comprising transcripts of interviews in the series "Alternatives to Liberal Democracy": Episode 1, "Freedom Through the Marketplace", an interview with Milton Friedman; Episode 2, "Anarchy: Co-operation Without Constraints", an interview with Noam Chomsky; and Episode 3, "Socialism Through the Ballot Box", an interview with Eric Hobsbawn.

For readers in UK - jeez ITV used to do real programmes! That wouldn't even make it onto radio 4 in the boffin-spot let alone ITV prime time

Good luck finding alot of Chomskys work. He must've been pretty controversial in his time. I saw an interview with him way back in the day where the interviewer was literally telling him to shut up. He must've really touched some nerves

Yeah - most of it is hidden away under a cryptically named website

"He must've been pretty controversial in his time" - oh he is still ruffling feathers after all these years

Trust me Imatfaal, I've been through that entire website several times, he's been censored. Even his recent work has been censored. Check out "linguistics- unfinished business" on youtube at 8 and 20 minutes and tell me that he hasn't been censored.

That's a video glitch - sorry to rain on your conspiracy parade. If Chomsky - a frequent and vocal commentator on censorship - was having his archive manipulated we would know about it. It is one of the reasons that websites such as chomsky.info and other digital archives were created in the first place. One instance can be changed - or be off inferior quality such as your highlighted video - but not all versions and especially not when ceaselessly monitored by academics, fans, and experts.

Lolll you have to be kidding me! Whatever though. Good luck with your search Alfred, I'm a spontaneous researcher and I listen and read Chomsky often, I'll post if I find it.

Thank you!

Incidentally, does anyone know whether there are any videos of interviews with this Peter Jay? I can't seem to find any.
