ydoaPs Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 These two graphs are pretty cool. The first goes from 600BCE to 600CE and the second from 600CE to about 1930CE. It's a taxonomy of sorts outlining the relations between different schools of philosophy throughout history. I just thought it'd share something cool I found. Thoughts?
imatfaal Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Great fun - needs a western in the blog title - although the ancient map seems to have it. 1. What no Homer and Hesiod? Difficult to navigate both the pre_soc and the soc without background of the epics 2. Had a quick flip down to the christian fathers and links with stoics (our seneca etc) - where are they? Just the first few comments - I am not a fan of reading something like that on my laptop screen. But very cool - I would love to see it a la Randalll Munroe
ydoaPs Posted July 27, 2013 Author Posted July 27, 2013 While I am entirely apathetic to the history of philosophy and there do seem to be bits missing, I nevertheless found the graphics interesting.
