cavalieregi Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Could someone tell me what is the incomplete combustion formula for heptane?
John Cuthber Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 There isn't a single formula. How incomplete is incomplete?
cavalieregi Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Complete Combustion of Hexane is: 2(C6H14) + 19O2 12CO2 + 14H2O + Energy Incomplete Combustion of Hexane is: C6H14 + 5O2 CO2 + CO + 4C + 7H2O
Ayesha Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Compete combustion of Heptane would yield CO2but incomplete would yield CO.So Heptane and oxygen would give carbon monoxide and water in combustion reaction.
