Using a magnet to pull a metallic object

Suppose someone parked his or her car in front of my driveway. I don't want to ask them to move it, I don't want to push it, and I also don't want to hijack it. Instead, I will use a magnet.

 

I want to figure out how big this magnet needs to be.

If you don't intend to touch the car you are not going to be able to move it at all. IMHO your only route is a junkyard magnet crane. According to this it needs to be around one Tesla...

Other wise your best bet is about a dozen strong friends to lift it up and move it.
