I'm not sure where to post. I'm hoping I'm not breaking any rules by posting here. However, I'm looking for a description/definition of 'plasma' that I can understand. I'm keeping it simple.

A plasma is an ionised gas. In basic terms this is a gas of charged molecules, as where a standard gas comprises of neutral molecules.

Plasma is the combination of positive ions and free electrons. These electrons are no longer associated with the particular atom because of very high temperature.
