michel123456
Thanks to AJB from whom I discovered the link, the list of the winning entries of the past years is very instructive. "For achievements that first make people laugh then make them think" http://www.improbable.com/ig/winners/ I liked especially the 2011 mathematics prize MATHEMATICS PRIZE: Dorothy Martin of the USA (who predicted the world would end in 1954), Pat Robertson of the USA (who predicted the world would end in 1982), Elizabeth Clare Prophet of the USA (who predicted the world would end in 1990), Lee Jang Rim of KOREA (who predicted the world would end in 1992), Credonia Mwerinde of UGANDA (who predicted the world would end in 1999), and Harold Camping of the USA (who predicted the world would end on September 6, 1994 and later predicted that the world will end on October 21, 2011), for teaching the world to be careful when making mathematical assumptions and calculations. Although this is not for laugh. I missed the prize for all those who predicted the end of the world in 2000 and 2012. ANATOMY PRIZE: Frans de Waal [The Netherlands and USA] and Jennifer Pokorny [uSA] for discovering that chimpanzees can identify other chimpanzees individually from seeing photographs of their rear ends. REFERENCE: "Faces and Behinds: Chimpanzee Sex Perception" Frans B.M. de Waal and Jennifer J. Pokorny, Advanced Science Letters, vol. 1, 99–103, 2008. ATTENDING THE CEREMONY: Frans de Waal and Jennifer Pokorny Leads me to wonder, were pants simple the first attempt to disguise oneself.
