Hi,

 

guys,

 

I know tartaric acid include DL-tartaric acid, L (+)- Tartaric Acid, Anticaking L (+)-Tartaric Acid and D (-)- Tartaric Acid.

 

Do you know the difference between them?

Ammonium sodium tartrate is one of the few compounds that separate into dextro and levo forms when crystallizing. I suppose tartaric acid is then used to separate L and R forms of synthesized amines. The tratrate is one cadidate for my suggested Czochralski separation:
