charon06 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Hello, Together with a friend, we wrote an application on mobile phones for middle school students, it's field is inorganic chemistry. We would like to ask for both substantive comments and overall assessment of the application. Link to application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bk.advance.chemik&hl=pl Link to facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Chemik-App/724109144282297?notif_t=fbpage_fan_invite DESCRIPTION : Chemist will help you in chemical tasks! You do not have to know everything by heart! Chemist application will be enough! Use the Periodic Table just like a computer keyboard. The chemist will show you possible products and balance the chemical reaction! All you have to do is enter the reactants. With the Chemist you will learn everything you need to know about the elements, compounds and chemical reactions. Details : Chemist contains names, designs, and many other options for more than 1,500 chemical compounds. Chemist shows the reaction products of over 2,000 chemical reactions and balances them immediately . Chemist balances all redox reactions . Chemist includes lots of information about compounds, the elements and chemical reactions. Exemplary compounds : - Oxygen acids : HNO3 , H2SO4 , H3PO4,H2CO3 - Anaerobic acids : HCl , HBr , H2S - Hydroxides : NaOH , Ca(OH)<sub]2[/sub] Mg(OH)2 , Al(OH)3 - Acidic oxides : SO3 , Cl2O7 , N2O5 - Basic oxides: Na2O, CaO , MgO - Oxygen salts: Al(NO3)3 , - Anaerobic salts NaCl , KCl , LiF Examples of chemical reactions : For Salt : - Zn + HCl ( metal + acid ) - MgO + HBr ( metal oxide + acid ) - CaO + HNO3 ( metal oxide + acid ) - Al 2O3 + SO3 ( metal oxide + nonmetal oxide ) - Zn (OH)2 + H2SO4 ( hydroxide + acid ) - KOH + N2O5 ( + metalloid oxide hydroxide ) - Na + Cl 2 (metal + non-metal ) For acids: - Cl 2O7 + H2O ( acidic oxide + water ) For hydroxides: - K + H 2O ( metal + water ) - K 2O + H2O ( metal oxide + water ) - KH + H2O ( metal hydride + water ) for oxides - Each element + oxygen Options for compounds: - Molecular weight - Structural formula - Molecular formula - dissociation - Oxidation - The ratio - Atomic composition - Chemical character - Concentration rates - Molar concentration - Type of bond Options for elements : - General information - Electronegativity - Information about the atom - The structure of the atom Options for chemical reactions : - Verbal record - Ion record
daniton Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 What is this have to do with the Homework section? Any way good work!!
CaptainPanic Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 ! Moderator Note I do not think this is a homework assignment, so I am moving it to Science Education. Good luck with your app.
daphne2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Awesome work! You give a big help for middle school students! Great job!
charon06 Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Work on Chemik still in progress We have added a stoichiometric calculations, simply type reactions include the weight or the number of moles of one reactant, the rest of the application will calculate I encourage you to comment, assessment and suggestions of what else you would see in this app Cheers!
scimaya Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) Congratulations. You could perhaps look at more educational apps to improve your apps? Just a suggestion. Here are a few you might enjoy browsing. I love your app though, would definitely recommend it to people. Edited October 24, 2013 by Phi for All advertising link removed by moderator
charon06 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Hi Do you guys remember about our application ? We added new chemistry game, based on periodic table. What do you think about it ? Cheers! Link to app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bk.advance.chemik
