Are adlerian theories of personality practical?

Does compensation really account for natural talent?

Of course, there are cases where this applies eg) Charlie Chaplin (of small stature), Beethoven (had auditory problems), Napoleon (the little corporal), Tiger Woods (partially sighted) etc?

Is this an exception to the rule OR the rule itself?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
