Primarygun Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 The information given is not detailed enough. Please specify in which months. This kind of question is always be tested in maths primary school competitions.
hanuman_2000 Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 hallo! This is a question from a paper.I wrote the same.I checked it. Thanks.
Primarygun Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 There are two possible answers. Perhaps, teacher day tells us which month it usually falls. Otherwise, the question has faults.
hanuman_2000 Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 HELLO! hOW MANY PAGES FROM 3 TO 5? IF I TAKE SIMPLE DIFFERENCE THEN IT IS WRONG.i WANT TO KNOW WHY? tHANKS.
Primarygun Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I am glad to hear that you are currently asking many Maths Olympaid questions. In HK, these kinds of questions are called" Planting trees Questions". When you take the difference between the pages, you miss one. In fact, you miss the first page or the last page as difference regards to interval. You need to add one to the difference as you want both first and last. Take difference only when you only want first or last. Minus one when you don't want either the first or the last one. May I know what does grade 4 refer to?
Sayonara Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Teacher's day in the year 2004 fell on Sunday. On what day will the teacher's day in the year 2005 fall on ? Assuming it is always on the same date, it will be a Monday.
coquina Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 If teacher's day 2004 was on a Sunday in January or February, it would be on on a Tuesday in 2005. After that it would be on a Monday. http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=2004&country=1 http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=2005&country=1
