MichaelHDurso Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) I'm possibly going to college for associates degree in applied science or certificate in medical office administration. I've taken two of the required classes for both. would it be better if i did full 63 hours to get associates degree or do the 23 hour course to get a job quick thats better than a grocery store. p.s. getting associates = quitting current job getting certificate = keeping job and going on educational leave Edited January 11, 2014 by MichaelHDurso
AndresKiani Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) .... Certification: You have to ask yourself "How far can I get with my current job?" How much can you improve in the long run, medical office administrator sounds good, and I'm sure from the sound of that title, you probably can get farther. You could one day be a leader at your company, business, firm, hospital, ect.. Associates: What type of associates degree would you be looking for? Associates degree doesn't get you really an real jobs. I know a few people who have a good job with an associates degree. For example nurses, LPNs to be specific and computer technicians or network technicians. Associates degree is really a stepping stone to a Bachelors degree, so again you have to ask yourself how far would you want to go in your education? -Me personally, I'm about to get my associates degree really soon here, I won't be able to get any jobs with it, "Associates in Biological Sciences", but I'm going to transfer to University for more education. Its all about.. How far you want to go? I mean you can get your associates degree, and go for your bachelors, masters, and doctorates degree and beyond doctorates degree. Its all up to how much dedication and time you want to put in it. Edited January 11, 2014 by AndresKiani
