This doesn't really have anything to do with anybody who is likely to read this, and is wholly of a personal context which will not be explained.

I felt like declaring eternal and infinite personal bitterness, I have before, and having lived long enough, that too faded. But really, I'm just terribly sad.

It's easy to grab the sad, there's so much of it. Bitter is too frustrating to maintain, I find myself missing out on too much when I'm too bitter.

I rebuild at that point. Start from scratch, hop in the shower and revel in the feelings of hot water pressure. Take a walk and focus on the smallest details. I can be a cog in a machine or I can be a hub at the center of life. Perspective is all.

Welcome to the club.

The "having lived long enough" is worrying.

My father-in-law passed away at the age of 92 and he never had this feeling, even in his last moments.

He wanted to travel, as he has done at the age of 82 to see the Great Wall of China, after being operated.
