Create a cathode-ray tube, because they're cool and shiny and stuff.

 

Or build a spark chamber, they're pretty funky also.

I just recently measured the wavelength of sodium light by Newton's Rings for a physics investigation, turned out to be more accurate than I thought as well. I managed to get it within 2 nm of the accepted value, 589 nm. Has anyone else used this method and what kind of value did they get?
