Moontanman Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Is anyone familiar with the claims of Victor Zammit and past lives? I have been searching all afternoon and he has so dominated all information feeds in 12 pages of google all you get is his stuff and no real opposition to his claims...
Ringer Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 His claims of afterlife/paranormal are just like those of every other person with paranormal claims. His only difference is that he's a lawyer and falls back on an argument from authority of what evidence is, i.e. he thinks what he believes courts accept as evidence = scientific evidence. 2
Moontanman Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 I bet he is a good lawyer, I googled Victor Zammit debunked and got twelve pages of him debunking the debunkers...
Ringer Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Here is a discussion of some of his stuff over at JREF: http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=259321 1
moth Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I imagine they have a suicide hotline recruiting "away teams" for the heaven's gate cult/religion.
John Cuthber Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 This is interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Victor_Zammit 1
Moontanman Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Of course the Victor Zammit enthusiast I have been "debating" claims that Victor has been unfairly targeted by fundamentalist atheists who cannot bring themselves to believe in reincarnation
Ringer Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 What's a fundamentalist atheist? Someone who REALLY doesn't believe in a god? 2
Moontanman Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 No... someone who really really really doesn't believe in god... lol 1
Phi for All Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Actually, I can understand fundamentalist atheist suicide bombers. "My reward is eternal relief from hearing you all preach!" 2
ydoaPs Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Two words: "false memories". The human mind is a pretty messed up thing. 1
Ringer Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Two words: "false memories". The human mind is a pretty messed up thing. Obviously something fundamentalist atheists thought up to make these claims look silly.
