Silencer Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Why is it that you see a lot of drugs with hydrochloric or hydrobromic acid after their name, like Dextromethorphan HCl or something?
jdurg Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 It makes the drugs MUCH more soluble in aqueous solutions, I.E. your body, so their absorption and effectiveness is MUCH greater than if it were the free base itself.
