Glo Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hi everybody, I have a quick question: What is the difference between the Group D Strep and Enterococci? Are they the same thing? Glowstar
CharonY Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) Partially. Most group Ds were found to be enterococci, but there are exceptions. Streptococcus bovis is a true Group D Streptococcus, for example. Quite an annoying classification scheme and somewhat outdated imo... edit: emphasized that S. bovis is but one example Edited February 23, 2014 by CharonY
