I`m not sure if there`s a call for this from other users here, but would it be possible to have all the New Posts for the last 24 hours put into an area that can be DL`d easily and put onto floppy for reading on a laptop when there`s no inet access.

the thought occured to me the other day whilst relaxing in my other Lab after I`de finished reading my book, "I wonder what`s going on in SFN".

I know there`s an area that shows Printable version, could there be a DLable version made, but just for the Newposts?

Thanks :)

but I don`t understand it?

I looked in subscribed threads in usercp and couldn`t find anything that said RSS.

I`m probably doing something wrong?

If you're using Firefox you should see a small orange icon at the bottom right of the window. Click that.

nada, EI 6, and no Sunny-D icon either :(

and Newtonian, the chatroom is working, I`m in there now (although the chanserv bot is on vacation it would seem) there`s nothing stopping you joining.

Going back to your original idea, it would have to be a single zipped-up package of all the new threads, plus threads that have been updated in the past 24 hours.

It would get deleted and recreated once a day.

I wonder if there's a mod for that?

yeah, I was thinking of something like setting it to 00:00GMT, erase old and begin New log as the "Trigger".

like the Archive section we have, but only holding the last 24 hours.

it`s not essential if it can`t be done, it would just be nice when I run out of reading material, and start missing you guys :)

you could always save each thread to work offline, but that'd get very boring!

a potential problem would be that images and very long threads (joke thread) would fill up a floppy disk quite quickly.
