reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 The queen isn't concerned with us becoming a monarchy. Several years ago we had a referendum to become a republic' date=' instead of being a constitutional monarchy, but it failed because a large percentage of Australians are either old, stupid, or both. The queen had no objections to the referendum, and in fact when the referendum failed the British papers were basically calling us weak for not having the guts to change. This was another occassion when I was extremely pissed off with my fellow citizens. As for Australia becoming a state of the USA, I would be willing to die a painful death to stop that happening! Nothing more needs to be said.[/quote'] But if you ditch the monarchy you can never get to be a Sir. or a Knight. Girls dig knights. Wouldn’t it suck big time if you did some really great thing and got some crappy made up title? “Introducing, republic comrade Terry H Dright”. I just can’t see it going down that well. Ps, Are the UK papers pro royalist, they should be, it gets them great covers. and it’s really good for tourism. And mostly don’t the royals stay out of public affairs? (That Harry is going to be interesting to watch grow up).

reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 Congratulations good Doctor. Sir Bill Gates, Now what did he do again to get noticed? Oh yes changed the world. I see your point though… funny I just cant see HRH on a PC playing Doom. Opening scene Buck palace The Royal technology room next to the wireless. HRH sits with blue glow from PC screen flickering over the room. Queen,Calls to Buttler: Jeeves.... who made up this wonderful electric portal for spam and pornography? Jeeves: Bill Gates is behind it’s popularity mom. Queen: Never heard of him. Goodshow. Send him some mints with my kind regards then would you. Jeeves; He’s bloody loaded mom. Queen: Oh, well make it two boxes and put a knighthood in there with it ….
reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 1) I think there was a hierarchy among the primitives' date=' 2) and I think that what passed for wealth (trinkets and status) went with it. 3) one's places being established according to their strength and their bravery. [/quote'] 1) Many other forms of life have hierarchy so that seems good. 2)trinkets, well it did buy Manhattan island, so that seems good. 3) that also tees up with other forms of life. My own thoughts are centring on the way the magic man is the interface between people and nature and how the chief is the interface between the individuals in the group. which ties up nicely as to why there is a head on the back of each coin.
reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 This is really starting to come together now. If wealth is nothing more than the governing forces way of allotting you status(relative to other individuals in the group) and that in turn dictates (as in apes) your right to food and other resources…then I think we have an all round clear concept. Now this means that capitalism…. .
YT2095 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 so is it accepted then that a Capitalist deals only in Money (paper or coins) then?
Sayonara Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 This just isn't true.Sir Bill Gates has just recieved an OBE from the queen. Actually it was a KBE' date=' and he can't use the title 'Sir' as he is not British. However he [i']can[/i] call himself "Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire", should he wish to.
Sayonara Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Now what did he do again to get noticed?Oh yes changed the world. He didn't "change the world" in the sense that it needed him to make the changes. Jobs and Wozniak seemed to do all right without him. The KBE is in recognition of the work and money that he has ploughed into combating disease and poverty, via the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 Oh this is getting good. Capital in Latin is (caput-itis ) or Head Chief in Latin is (caput ) or Head. Nice to know that the language backs up our reasoning.
reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 so is it accepted then that a Capitalist deals only in Money (paper or coins) then? we are getting to that bit. hang in there .

Pangloss Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Hehe, no, in fact at the ceremony in which she awarded Gates his KBE she asked Eric Clapton what he did for a living.

reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 two thirds of it are water, how will you develope that area? Now you have me curious. We Still Haven’t fully defined Capitalism yet , so Communism is an unknown also. Would you run the world from a central location? Would you leave each culture intact with all their quirks and richness, and put a regional governor in place. (See when the Romans did that they had trouble with Caesar.) ( and don’t talk to me about Constantine ) What benefit do you think the world would get from following the communist way of life, and what did you think the communist way of life was?
Phi for All Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Since the communists will rise, water surfaces can be developed on the backs of the floating proletariat.
reverse Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 Since the communists will rise, water surfaces can be developed on the backs of the floating proletariat. Slightly more brilliant than it is evil.
john5746 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Just a dream. The earth belongs to us With communism, the earth and your a** belong to the government. Move to Cuba.

Don’t let Vlad bait you. Give him a bit of room to show how “comworld” might be practically organised and who it would benefit.
Vladimir Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 I see. Capitalism, to my understanding, began when the kings of Europe, lost their power of comerce and the traders first arose. It was in this way that these traders could truly become independant and form for themselves true profit. The Kings then began to tax these traders, and thus your country was born. However during the rise of comunism and socialism, prescious few capitalist countries remain, the first (and only) that springs to mind is the unitede states. I dont know whether ive answered a few questions, adn undoubtedly in the morning i'll regret the way i've said something. Comunism, Never truly managed to be intigated (thanks to the Russian civil war supported by the allies and germany) all subsequent communist states were affected by the soviet union and their influence. It is because of this, and America's always delightful view on things different that people believe comunism to be evil and a bad thing
