Computer science graduate school?

Hey guys not sure if im in the right section but I could not find a better place to put it. I am in my senior year of college majoring in computer science and am deciding whether to get a masters degree in computer science. I heard graduate school for computer science is very theoretical, which I don't really like. Lately I have been interested in engineering and was deciding on doing master in an engineering field. which engineering field would most likely go in hand with computer science (not including computer engineering)? Thanks.

Whatever you decide to do you should make an informed decision. I suggest you contact the schools offering masters degrees in computer science and related engineering subjects to ask them what is the bulk of the course syllabus. I am sure they will be happy to talk to you. From there you should be able to find something suitable for you.

 

I know of people who have done masters degrees in physics without a degree in physics. They had things like chemistry and engineering. I don't know what the score would be with you and I am sure this will vary a lot university to university. I am just saying that it can be possible to get a masters in something different to your undergraduate degree.
