`hýsøŕ Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 so a photon goes at the speed of light, but does anything that goes at the speed of light have to be a photon? could you have some other object which has the property it goes at/faster than light, has no mass but isn't the usual EM field oscillations that make up light?
Delta1212 Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 All massless particles travel at c; Not all massless particles are photons. There are also gluons and, potentially, gravitons as changes in gravity also propagate at c.
`hýsøŕ Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 oh right, i see hadn't thought about the other force carriers :S
