factseeker88 Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Every day all active people experience their own universe until something happens that makes them change their regular routine, forces them to enter into a new parallel universe. The universe with the happening and the universe without the happening. Sort of like a fork in the road with two different ways to go, two parallel universes with two different outcomes. No lesson is so deeply inculcated by the experience of life as that you should never trust experts.” Lord Salisbury "Question everything." TV Science channel
swansont Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 This sounds a lot like Everett's many worlds interpretation of QM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Many-worlds_interpretation I guess you should question whether this is valid.
Ltmufufu Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Why would you use those terms in an explanation so reliant on subjectivity? In that sense "parallel universe" seems to mean little more than "personal perspective" or "individual world" etc.
andrewcellini Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 what determines such forking? you call this an explanation but it's 3 sentences that are saying loosely what you mean by parallel universe.
