Moontanman Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 contraindications Said that too. Hang on got results minus an i contratriptans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contraindication http://books.google.com/books?id=NA41OnSGFWEC&pg=PA131&lpg=PA131&dq=contratriptans&source=bl&ots=9xb3JKxrse&sig=XztaKP35TXiVlA1_blIO0rF2FNo&hl=en&sa=X&ei=AisKVOL6LoazyASp44GoDg&ved=0CCAQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=contratriptans&f=false 1
fiveworlds Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) Well that makes sense it probably meant contraindicating Triptans then abbreviated. Of course the abbreviation is wrong because contra means anti or opposed to so one would imagine a group of drugs which counteracted the effects of Triptans http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/contra Other examples http://www.webmd.boots.com/pregnancy/guide/understanding-conception http://www.thefreedictionary.com/contraception Edited September 5, 2014 by fiveworlds
John Cuthber Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 On the back of a box of medication just a word, Have you tried reading the box again? What else does it say?
fiveworlds Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Have you tried reading the box again? What else does it say? Is it carithromycin or clarithomycin?
arc Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Counterfeit drugs are often detected first by the poorly done instructions.
Endy0816 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 only word that is close besides triptans is the non-English tripitans.
fiveworlds Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 There is another Alopurinol is a suggested beta-blocker on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_blocker however the link goes nowhere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpurinol . The closest it seems to know of is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allopurinol
John Cuthber Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Is it carithromycin or clarithomycin? How would we know? You are the one with the box. What does it say?
