ku Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 I heard somewhere that when two brothers are born, the younger one's peak height is nearly always greater than the older one's. Why does the younger sibling have this advantage? What is the biological or genetic explanation?
5614 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 If anything that is a generalisation, it is not always true - I know people who this doesn't apply to.
Callipygous Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 my older brother is about 5 inches taller than me. if im the exception to the rule... maybe the mom is kinda stretched out so more growth occurs in the womb? im really reachin here...
KholdStunner Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 if this has to do with biology, and its not just random, then i would have to agree with callipygous. I suppose the baby just has more room to grow since the mother womb is stretched.
