good afternoon,

so what exectly do they mean with Teleport?, i read not long ago they successfully teleported something.

but i do not understand, on this forum many say that information can't travel faster then light.

so what's the deal? and what get teleported?.

quantum teleportation can refer to the process in which information is passed from Alice to Bob in such a many that more information is passed than is possible through the passing of classical bits of information. that is to say that whilst quantum entanglement is not what is widely and popularly reported it can be used to pass more information that classical transfer alone. entanglement means that the state of the pair of particles is shared - Alice can act on one of the pair, transform the state but leave the entanglement, and pass to as a message Bob the exact nature of her transform; Bob can then measure the other one of the pair and obtain information about the state, the information Bob gains through looking at the state in the light of Alices message is greater than the information content of the message alone. You have "teleported" the extra information through the quantum entanglement.

To expand on what imatfaal has said: you have a particle whose state is unknown — it's one of two values. Classically, you could not communicate information about its state without measuring it and putting it into one of those two states — you'd be wrong half the time. Using quantum cleverness involving entanglement, you can transfer the state of the particle to some distant location with a fidelity that is theoretically 100% (experimentally it will always be less, but still >50%). The original particle's state information is wiped out in the process.

Think i understand becose their is no direct line it's called teleport,(distance irrelevant) rater then a phonecall.

guess the information they send along side it must be tiny. but still it's quite incredible achievement.
