pbeck Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I am currently working on a science fair project about acid rain and its effects on local plant life. I am having difficulty finding data for the amount of acidic rainfall in a specific region. I am trying to determine exactly how much water my plants should receive, which I was going to base on the average rainfall amount for the area. Should I simply use the annual rainfall in the area, or are is there a place I can locate actual "acid rainfall" for an area. I have search the EPA, and several other sites with no luck. Also, would simply misting the plants with a spray bottle be a good simulation of rainfall, or should I create something more like a terrarium? I am at a bit of a loss on how to proceed with something that seemed like a rather simple project in the beginning. Any assistance you can offer would be wonderful. Thank you for your time.
For Prose Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 What sorts of resources do you have access to? If at all feasible, you could have the rainwater in the area tested, and use what you learn from that to conduct your experiment.
