charmaine Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I am doing a project on the mid phalangeal hair in humans. I need to collect a load of data on the prescence of this hair. If you have the spare time, could you please contribute! It will only take about 30seconds... What you need to do is look at your hands, and see if you have a prescence of hair in the middle part of your fingers (not including thumbs) I Have shown a picture on where to look. If you have a prescence of hair here, Even ONE hair- Means that you have the allele. Please include your first name, age and whether the hair is absent or present. Thankyou
ecoli Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 question? do white hairs (non-pubic) count? If the don't, then it's "Zachary, 17, absent"
jordan Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 jordan, 17, present why is first name required for this?
charmaine Posted March 15, 2005 Author Posted March 15, 2005 haha ecoli. Any hair counts! I am just wondering how a pubic hair would come to be on ones hands...
charmaine Posted March 15, 2005 Author Posted March 15, 2005 jordan' date=' 17, present why is first name required for this?[/quote'] So i can find out where every person on here lives, and stalk them. Ok ok, It's just a part of the data that I have to enter for my assignment.... If you can add whether you are male or female, that would also help. (for those ambiguously nicknamed types)
alt_f13 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Hans, 20, absent. (names may have been changed to protect the innocent)
jordan Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 (for those ambiguously nicknamed types) How do you know I'm not really sensitive about that? I'm male.
Phi for All Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 haha ecoli. Any hair counts! I am just wondering how a pubic hair would come to be on ones hands...Ecoli, now that your hands and face are beet-red, is it easier to see those little white hairs? How do you know I'm not really sensitive about that?If you had any sensitivity at all, I guess you wouldn't be a guy. j/k Phi, 47, present on ring and pinky fingers.
jordan Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 If you had any sensitivity at all, I guess you wouldn't be a guy. I must say, excellent answer phi.
syntax252 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Joel and no hair on my fingers. However if I didn't use my hands for walking so much, I am sure some would grow there. Edited: By the way, I am 68 years old.
Callipygous Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 kyle, 18, present on three but not index finger.
ecoli Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 haha ecoli. Any hair counts! I am just wondering how a pubic hair would come to be on ones hands... I just meant the black hairs as pubic...becasue generally, you don't get thick black hairs like that on your body (except for your head o'course) until puberty.
