Cyanide Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I worked out the problem...I'm just not sure if it's correct. A baseball is popped straight up into the air and has a hang-time of 6.25 s. Determine the height to which the ball rises before it reaches its peak. It seems simple enough... First I used vf = vi + a*t I figured it out to be vi = 30.6 m/s Then I used vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad My final answer was d = 47.9 m P.S. I'd be very grateful if someone would tell me if I'm in the right direction atleast
