I worked out the problem...I'm just not sure if it's correct.

 

A baseball is popped straight up into the air and has a hang-time of 6.25 s. Determine the height to which the ball rises before it reaches its peak.

 

It seems simple enough...

First I used

vf = vi + a*t

I figured it out to be vi = 30.6 m/s

 

Then I used

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad

My final answer was d = 47.9 m

 

P.S. I'd be very grateful if someone would tell me if I'm in the right direction atleast :D
