petrushka.googol Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 In the words of Deepak Chopra "Meditation makes the entire nervous system go into a field of coherence".Would this be a realistic assertion in the light of our current knowledge about the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system ? Would then this field have quantum field properties?
Strange Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) No. And no. It seems more and more certain that anything said by this clown (related to science, at least) can be just ignored. (Just to be clear, "this clown" refers to Deepsit Chapra, not Petrushka!) Edited December 4, 2014 by Strange

fiveworlds Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) "Meditation makes the entire nervous system go into a field of coherence". Not really the body works best walking at least 4kilometers a day. The spine absorbs calcium from movement during the day so if you don't move enough you develop spinal damage. Running and jogging tend to wear away at bone cartilage over time.(Osteoarthritis) Edited December 4, 2014 by fiveworlds
robsmyth Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Theists don't have many straws to clutch onto, this is one of the few left and they are making a pigs ear of it as usual. Its only a matter of time before they have no straws left. Edited January 6, 2015 by robsmyth
