tysonbey12 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Hi everyone! Is the aluminium chloride colorimetric assay considered as general common knowledge or even subject-specific (biology-specific) common knowledge? I've basically slightly modified this method for flavonoid detection from a research journal but I've forgotten to reference the journal that I've taken it from. I do have a small and referenced literature review about this assay but I'm still unsure (and so worried) about whether this counts as plagiarism. Unfortunately I've already submitted my 'thesis'. Nonetheless, I would still like to find out even though there is nothing much that I can do. I guess that if this method is considered to be common knowledge by experts, I'm safe.
