Does this only happen to eliptical galaxies, or can f.i. 3 spiral galaxies also merge at the same time? Or how about 2 spiral galaxies, and 1 elliptical one?? ACG52 Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Any number and any type of galaxies can 'collide'. It simply depends on their relative vectors.
