Valkaes Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) The basics of time travel is that, if moving far enough from Earth you will cause time to go by much faster around you but not affect you as much. If this is possible, than we would be required to move nearly to the speed of light. Since it has been scientifically proven that it is possible to travel to the near breaking point of light's barrier, we are most likely able to travel FORWARDS in time if supplied with the massive amount of energy required. Traveling BACK in time, however, isn't possible by current science or mathematics. If we were to increase the amount of gravity that acts upon us AND increase speed to the breaking pointy of the speed of light, it would be possible to travel to a different time. Traveling THROUGH time seems implausible, as the format of space-time or even time itself would be much too dense to travel THROUGH. Traveling to another time is possible with the maximum amount of energy we would require to reach the maximum speed we must have to travel to a different time period (that is set in the future.) Anyways, thank you for reading if you made it all the way through. It would be appreciated if you would leave a comment in response or to feed this development. Edited February 4, 2015 by Valkaes

Strange Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 WHY WAS IT MOVED? IT WAS SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN! Then you should have no problems providing references to the "proof" that: 1. moving far enough from Earth you will cause time to go by much faster around you but not affect you as much 2. it would be possible to travel to a different time (perhaps you need to define what you mean by a "different time") 3. the format of space-time or even time itself would be much too dense to travel THROUGH I am getting the impression that you might be very young and imaginative. If so, you should probably tell us; then people might cut you a bit more slack...
tyme Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 You're saying that Humans can travel through time by simply "increasing" gravity. Its a lot harder to travel through time, as a matter of fact traveling through time is still a theory haha. As far as we know time can be slowed down but not passed through.
Mr. Astrophysicist Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 WHY WAS IT MOVED? IT WAS SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN! Please relax, they were all theories. Theories weren't actually proven until farther advancements in science, but their principles were tested and determined correct by experimental physicists, so we cannot further confirm or fathom the theories until into the future. Stated by Strange, you should relax, you're possibly a young and imaginative yet rebellious to prove his/her theories. -3
Kelnad Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Maybe they can quicken results to how mass was able to form in particle accelerated collisions by not just leaving it an empty vacuum, didn't they say there was a lot of radiation before mass was brought into the equation? Any whom my idea of traveling is dimensional travel and think fusion is a form of dimensional travel. I also think that everything is a form of fusion taking place, but that and this is all theory.

Doesn't the misperception with this come from the age of a person who has travelled away from and back to earth at speed approaching c? To clarify the misperception of actually travelling forward in time, the passenger has simply had his time slowed down, not travelled into the future. Edited February 26, 2015 by GeneralDadmission
