Now detected the first suns after the Big Bang at 600,million years .

Stars are 1 million times brighter than our Sun and 1000 more massive than our Sun

Light and heat for first 380,000 years . Then at the recombination ( atoms formed) Darkness up to 600 million years after big bang . Then at this time the super massive stars formed.

James Webb telescope now currently to follow the research up ,to give us more insights to this period, taking measurements .

Interesting. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-21866464

Planck's new numbers

4.9% normal matter - atoms, the stuff from which we are all made
26.8% dark matter - the unseen material holding galaxies together
68.3% dark energy - the mysterious component accelerating cosmic expansion
The number for dark energy is lower than previously estimated
The new age - 13.82 billion years - results from a slower expansion
This is described by a value known as the Hubble Constant
It too is revised to 67.15 km per second, per megaparsec (3.2 million light-years)

Scientist in the interview confirmed the dark matter finding. Dark matter content has gone up and Dark Energy has gone down. (Cambridge University's George Efstathiou being interviewed)

Thanks for spotting this.

.

How about my also spotting about how , :-

The General Unified Theory , and a Theory of everything :- . http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Unified_Theory. .

How symmetry breaking, just after the Big Bang,

[ giving rise to the four fundamental forces due to (rotational invariance going through symmetry breaking to rotational symmetry variance ** ) ].

How this is reflected in women have a natural , innate ability , to make their faces pretty by also going toward symmetrical then initiating a touch of symmetry breaking .

Who would have imagined, the answer to life the universe and everything is in a woman's face ?

As well as the images from space and the early universe .!

Moderator Note

IOW, off-topic for this thread. Let's stay focused on discussion of the Planck results

Yes. I think all these new values they have been discovering, by the Plank Telescope, Are very interesting discussed in the BBC correspondents interview as already quoted by others . The Sound Interview is well worth the time listening to (13 minutes )

The proportions of dark Energy and dark Matter seem to have changed to what were previously thought.

i wonder what the implications of this are ?

When George Smoot , lead his team to investigate the background radiation , from the edge of space, he brought that first image to the world , that we have become familiar with, namely : the Microwave Background Radiation .

On viewing the image for the first time ,he publicly said :-

" I feel We have looked in to The Face of God ." Quote George Smoot project manager COBI

Many more clearer images later and the precise details have proliferated , do we feel we are seeing ,

The images of ' How the universe was formed '

Title Polarisation of the Cosmic Microwave Background

Released 05/02/2015 3:00 pm

Acknowledgement of the origin of this information from and accepting the Copyright ESA and the Planck Collaboration

Description

A visualisation of the polarisation of the Cosmic Microwave Background, or CMB, as detected by ESA's Planck satellite over the entire sky.

The CMB is a snapshot of the oldest light in our Universe, imprinted on the sky when the Universe was just 380 000 years old. It shows tiny temperature fluctuations that correspond to regions of slightly different densities, representing the seeds of all future structure: the stars and galaxies of today.

A small fraction of the CMB is polarised it vibrates in a preferred direction. This is a result of the last encounter of this light with electrons, just before starting its cosmic journey. For this reason, the polarisation of the CMB retains information about the distribution of matter in the early Universe, and its pattern on the sky follows that of the tiny fluctuations observed in the temperature of the CMB.

In this image, the colour scale represents temperature differences in the CMB, while the texture indicates the direction of the polarised light. The patterns seen in the texture are characteristic of E-mode polarisation, which is the dominant type for the CMB.

For the sake of illustration, both data sets have been filtered to show mostly the signal detected on scales around 5º on the sky. However, fluctuations in both the CMB temperature and polarisation are present and were observed by Planck on much smaller angular scales, too. , " unquote

Again acknowledgement to ESA Plank telescope .

With all this extra information, this surely begs the question:-

......-------- . How, has all this come about ? . ----------............

Also at a personal level , I am not really sure how to interpret the COLOUR and TEXTURE of the image.

In the description above it speaks about two different pieces of information

1 .. The temperature differences

2 .. The polarisation of the waves

Which is which on the picture here presented ? And how is it portrayed exactly ? Which colour stands for what ? And which texture stands for what ? Dark blue, light blue , brown ....., texture ? What texture ? Where ?
