Sensei Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) how to reproduce this?? Oscilloscope can be called obsolete-CRT televisor. Either one are emitting electrons from electron gun, and their trajectories are bend by electric/magnetic fields. Horizontal and vertical independent deflection. After striking screen they emit photon, which we can see at certain position. You can draw whatever you like by controlling amount of electrons emitted (brightness of pixel), and controlling deflections in x and y axis. Edited February 6, 2015 by Sensei
Strange Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Ha. I remember when this was the only type of computer graphics display. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_monitor
imatfaal Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Ha. I remember when this was the only type of computer graphics display. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_monitor And an implementation of Quake would have used most, if not all, of the whole worlds processing power
MigL Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I remember vector graphic video arcade games in the late 70s, early 80s. Don't remember the name of the game ( was it 'Asteroids' ), all you did was shoot up asteroids, but you triangular spaceship could fly off one side of the screen and re-appear on the other. Maybe I should have spent more time on my hi-school/university studies. Good times though.
