sunshaker Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Should we believe the Math? THEORETICAL Quantum Physicist Dr. Amit Goswami admitted today that he, and his peers, have absolutely ‘no fucking idea’ what they’re doing When asked how he got away with it for so long, he replied: “I found out a long time ago that everything can be proven with a mathematical equation. Now, I mean everything; from unicorns, fire-breathing dragons, God and even the G-spot. None of it is true. Me and the handful that know the truth have been riding the Quantum Physicist celebrity wave for quite some time now, but it must end – before someone gets hurt”. http://waterfordwhispersnews.com/2015/02/10/we-honestly-have-no-fucking-idea-what-were-doing-admits-leading-quantum-physicist/
imatfaal Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Just goes to show why we have the fallacy of argument from authority - you can be a professor of quantum physics and still be a complete idiot. 1
ajb Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Should we believe the Math? As a guiding principle the answer is 'yes'. THEORETICAL Quantum Physicist Dr. Amit Goswami admitted today that he, and his peers, have absolutely no fucking idea what they're doing He is considered a quack. I would not take his word on this at face value. I would have to really understand the context of his words to make sense of this.
studiot Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Should we believe the Math? I saw no maths. But I did see some poor quality English, US or British variety.

CharonY Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 To be fair, though the thought in the title (i.e. "I have no fucking clue what I am doing") occurs to me quite often. Punctuated by:"oh, why did that work. Can it do it again?"
arc Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 "I have no fucking clue what I am doing") Punctuated by:"oh, why did that work. Can it do it again?" I believe that sentiment has become quite common among older gentlemen also, . . . . since the advent of Viagra.
