fiveworlds Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 On is a Anti-Gravity Wheel. It is not much now, but if you could put this technology in airplane or rocket it would change every thing. But it isn't anti-gravity at all.
Endy0816 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 And if the one had an actual water fueled car he wouldn't be in prison for fraud right now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water-fuelled_car#Daniel_Dingel
Sensei Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) The philippines invented a car running on water. 1m30s, didn't she say "sea water".. ? Inside of engine when there is used water + salt, there will be growing crystals, which is serious issue for long term usage of such engine. I had 250 mL bottle of brine year ago, leaved it alone, and now crystals have up to 4 cm size around it.. But he is using battery - clearly visible on video. To split water to Hydrogen and Oxygen. He didn't mention how often he needs to charge battery.. f.e. Bosch S5 S5007 12V 74Ah accumulator, fully charged, would be enough for doing electrolysis of 200 grams of water.. and then empty.. nec209 Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 But it isn't anti-gravity at all. So if it is not anti-gravity than how does it work? Not new, and not free energy. What is not know? Many people claiming they got cars running on water and the big car makers are trying to pay them off or go after them. The big car makers do not want cars to run on water or any other energy source. 1m30s, didn't she say "sea water".. ? I had 250 mL bottle of brine year ago, leaved it alone, and now crystals have up to 4 cm size around it.. He said that Hydrogen is 14 times lighter than air. It's 15.87 in reality. Fuzzwood Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Study some basic physics and chemistry and see your tin-foil hat vanish into thin air.
swansont Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 So if it is not anti-gravity than how does it work? Did you even watch the video (and the follow-up)? It's Veritasium. Derek explains what's going on: torque and conservation of angular momentum as part of gyroscopic precession. Notice how they spin the wheel up with a drill? That's where the energy is coming from. The wheel is spinning down as he's holding it. This would be useless on a rocket or plane — you have to go in the corkscrew motion to lift it, because of the torque involved. What is not know? Many people claiming they got cars running on water and the big car makers are trying to pay them off or go after them. The big car makers do not want cars to run on water or any other energy source. It's not new as in these claims have been made before. Big car makers don't care about water — it's not an energy source. It's a scam.
Sensei Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) So if it is not anti-gravity than how does it work? It must be magic.. Anti-gravity (if it'd exist) would have to use negative mass, to reverse direction of force vector. Many people claiming they got cars running on water and the big car makers are trying to pay them off or go after them. Examples? The big car makers do not want cars to run on water or any other energy source. Car producers don't make money on selling gasoline or oil.. That's petrochemical industry that is resistant to new technologies. BTW, have you ever heard about hybrid cars, LNG engines or Tesla electric cars.. ? But it's hard to persuade people to use f.e. electric cars. You need to charge them frequently. Which is difficult on road far from home. So you saying a car cannot run on water for some reason but can run on sea water salt? No. But there is serious difference between distilled water (electrolysis doesn't work, or so slow that it's barely visible. I was running 15h device and got not a single bubble of Hydrogen while using distilled by me 2L water)., tap water, sea water and brine. If you will use two different metals for electrodes placed in water with salt, and connected by wire, there will be flowing tiny tiny current through wire. Edited March 1, 2015 by Sensei
Mike Smith Cosmos Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) 1) is an Anti-Gravity Wheel. It is not much now, but if you could put this technology in airplane or rocket it would change every thing. Professor Laithwait of Imperial College London , introduced this idea in the late 1960's early 1970's . He appeared at the Royal Institute and demonstrated a similar experiment. Although having invented the linear motor and magnetic levitation as an idea for mass transport of the sort now used in Germany and Japan , he was thoroughly discredited for his introduction of the ideas around gyroscopes and anti gravity. For some reason or another the subject attracted scorn from the academics of the time. Prof Laithwait later went on to do experiments, produced a patent , with a Colleague , then died. The subject remains open as people try to find alternative ways to overcome gravity ,rather than expensive Rocket Technology. Professor Laithwaits challenge was " the first person to bring a working model to the table " will win ! Mike Edited March 1, 2015 by Mike Smith Cosmos

So you saying a car cannot run on water for some reason but can run on sea water salt? I don't see where he said that at all.
Mike Smith Cosmos Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) swansont said. .......The "some reason or another" is called physics. Reply :- Established Physics is not always " the complete picture or view " hence some of the comments in the thread next door about mass show. Different frames have different values or effects Here in this subject of rotation we have added problems ,in that we do not find it easy to see ourselves spinning in circles. In fact most of us get quite dizzy if rotated fast for only a few spins. We seem to be much happier standing 'still' . Yet we all know , nothing much in the universe is still. In fact SPIN in one of the most common phenomenon . What with spin of particles , spin of planets , spin of suns and pulsars, spin of Galaxies , and may be even the spin of the universe. So I do not think we should dispense quite so easily with rotation as being a possible Frame or view to having some ' change of gravity ' effect. Mike Edited March 1, 2015 by Mike Smith Cosmos

John Cuthber Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Professor Laithwaits challenge was " the first person to bring a working model to the table " will win ! And then he comprehensively failed to do so. By his own criterion, he's a loser.
Mike Smith Cosmos Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 No, but in this case, it is. Well-established physics explains what's going on here. There is no free energy depicted in the video, nor is there antigravity. I think I can agree there is no free energy . However I am a bit more reluctant to concede that there is not a way of manipulating the distortions of space already produced by the influence of mass. I feel it might be possible to undo the distortions so as to allow an equilibrium condition to exist. Furthermore I feel that the mechanism for undoing these distortions COULD ( not definitely ) be found within the sphere of mechanics involved with ' non strait line motion ' . Mike
John Cuthber Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Furthermore I feel that ... reality neither knows nor cares what you "feel".

Mike Smith Cosmos Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) reality neither knows nor cares what you "feel".Well , I am not so sure about that . I definitely ' feel ' very comfortable when I am ' pootling ' along the road at a steady 30 mph in a strait line . I then feel pushed into the back of my seat when I hit the open road and go quickly up to 70 mph still in a strait line . Then as I swerve to avoid some idiot on the road that has braked hard in front of me , playing with his tablet , I 'feel' a distinct pressure on my side , as I am pushed up against the door hard . Now as what is happening is happening to me , that is important . Maybe the greater reality could not be too concerned with my feelings , I agree. But I am the important one in this issue. If I want to fly against gravity , I need to do something with that big distortion in space caused by the Huge mass of the Earth. I think we can do it ! Mike I don't understand what "distortions of space already produced by the influence of mass" you think are present in the vicinity of a spinning 19 kg disk.Well I think in the case of the gyroscope , all the distortions cancel each other out , so there is no net distortion correction of gravity. But within the gyroscope there are colossal forces at work and no doubt colossal distortions locally . Even though their net effect is zero . I had a small one come apart on me , a couple of times, not nice . So if you want to get a resultant distortion , we need to break out of the complete circle . Partial arc . In some respect I think electrons already do this . Mike Edited March 1, 2015 by Mike Smith Cosmos

Well done on the different use of the word "feel" there. Doesn't make any difference. The behaviour of the universe is not affected much by what you think we can do. More importantly, what people reading this believe is more influenced by the evidence you bring, than by your asserted opinion. Edited March 1, 2015 by John Cuthber

If you want to claim that what's going on inside a gyroscope is gravitational and distorts space, you can bring that up in another thread. THIS thread is about the videos, and the mainstream physics that explains what's going on.
Moontanman Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 What's the deal with salt water? I live near the ocean and salt water just messes everything up...

Sensei Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 What's the deal with salt water? I live near the ocean and salt water just messes everything up... Look at my 100 mL bottle of brine after year (literally) of leaving it alone: One electrode was plugged to positive, and other one to negative DC (several hours electrolysis): For several months crystals grow exclusively only one of them.
CasualKilla Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) I just came across two new inventions. On is a Anti-Gravity Wheel. It is not much now, but if you could put this technology in airplane or rocket it would change every thing. Anti-Gravity Wheel? Oh man, I loled so hard, did you even watch the video? It takes alot of energy to move a rotating mass like that, its kinda like inertia, but works with chaging the axis of rotation, and the faster it spins the higher this "inertia". The mass actually falls, but very slowly. Pretty cool, but nothing new there. If you physically try to tilt that weight upwards or downwards you will see why the simple F = mg force is not moving it very fast. Edited March 18, 2015 by CasualKilla

I am aware of the corrosive effects of salt water, how does that drive a car?
