Strange Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Google! A baby’s sex is determined at the time of conception. http://www.pennmedicine.org/encyclopedia/em_DisplayAnimation.aspx?gcid=000110&ptid=17 The first part of the ear to develop is the inner ear.[6] Its appearance occurs around the 22nd day of the embryo’s development http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_of_the_ears Working with 400 fetuses, researchers in Belfast beamed a pure pulse sound at 250-500 Hz and found behavioral responses at 16 weeks g.a.--clearly seen via ultrasound (Shahidullah and Hepper, 1992). This is especially significant because reactive listening begins eight weeks before the ear is structurally complete at about 24 weeks. https://birthpsychology.com/free-article/fetal-senses-classical-view The eye begins to develop as a pair of optic vesicles on each side of the forebrain at the end of the 4th week of pregnancy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_development Although testing eyesight in the womb has not been feasible, we can learn from testing premature babies. When tested from 28 to 34 weeks g.a. for visual focus and horizontal and vertical tracking, they usually show these abilities by 31-32 weeks g.a. Abilities increase rapidly with experience so that by 33-34 weeks g.a., both tracking in all directions as well as visual attention equals that of babies of 40 weeks g.a. https://birthpsychology.com/free-article/fetal-senses-classical-view Bones: tricky because there are different sorts of bones that develop in different ways: http://discovery.lifemapsc.com/in-vivo-development/bone But: The skeleton of the fetus begins developing bones about 13 weeks following conception. The bones gradually become harder and muscle tissue begins to develop. At birth, a newborn's body has approximately 300 bones. Over time, these bones grow together to form the 206 bones in adults. http://www.livestrong.com/article/36711-bone-development-during-fetal-development/ Skin — the body’s largest organ — first starts to emerge between week 5 and week 8. At this point, your baby’s epidermis (i.e., skin) consists only of two layers: basal cells (the inner layer of cells) and periderm cells (the outer layer of cells). Hair begins developing immediately after skin, with initial hair buds sewing their seeds after just 8 weeks. http://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/fetal-hair-skin-nails/ i need the answers in (days) not in weeks Can you multiply by 7? Note that these are gradual and variable processes, so probably can't be pinned down to a single day.
