DNA Methylation-related diseases

I'm compiling a project on ICF and Rett syndromes. At the moment I'm having a little trouble finding statistics for the rough number of live births and average life expectancy.

Any help and links to sources would be greatly appreciated.

OMIM (Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man) might be a good resource.

For example, on Rett syndrome, population genetics section it says:

Hagberg (1985) estimated the frequency of Rett syndrome to be about 1 in 15,000 in southwestern Sweden. Among girls aged 0 to 18 years in North Dakota, Burd et al. (1991) found the frequency of Rett syndrome to be 1 in 19,786.
Miyamoto et al. (1997) quoted data suggesting that Rett syndrome has a frequency of 1 in 20,000 girls in metropolitan Tokyo.

DNA methylation is an important epigenetic modification for genomic regulation in higher organisms that plays a crucial role in the initiation and progression of diseases. The integration and mining of DNA methylation data by methylation-specific PCR and genome-wide profiling technology could greatly assist the discovery of novel candidate disease biomarkers. However, this is difficult without a comprehensive DNA methylation repository of human diseases. Here is a human disease methylation database (http://bioinfo.hrbmu.edu.cn/diseasemeth). Hope you can find what you need here.
