overtone
So, uh. Hmm... Yeah. About that nuclear deal with Iran... The general incompetence of (especially) fascistic despots is the foundation of the nuclear problems with Iran: the Shah's meretriciousness and vanity are the source of Iran's nuclear program and its sole established link to weaponry (which granted is inevitably possible anyway). Iran is in possession of signed international treaties and agreements allowing it to launch a complete nuclear power program including the refinement of its own fuel. That dates to the removal of Mossadegh, the installation of despot rule under the Shah by the US, and the uberfolly of Atoms For Peace and the rest of the nuclear sandbox nerds in the 1950s. This, for example, is historical event, i.e., fact (from Wiki) : After the 1979 revolution, a clandestine nuclear weapons research program was disbanded by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1902–1989), who considered such weapons as haram (sinful) and forbidden as unethical and immoral in Muslim jurisprudence.[3] Iran has signed treaties repudiating the possession of weapons of mass destruction including the Biological Weapons Convention,[4] the Chemical Weapons Convention,[5] and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Edited April 17, 2015 by overtone

Airbrush
"...After the 1979 revolution, a clandestine nuclear weapons research program was disbanded by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1902–1989), who considered such weapons as haram (sinful) and forbidden as unethical and immoral in Muslim jurisprudence.[3] Iran has signed treaties repudiating the possession of weapons of mass destruction including the Biological Weapons Convention,[4] the Chemical Weapons Convention,[5] and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)" How likely is it for rulers of a country to call nuclear weapons "sinful", then later say, "Well yeah, we always believed nuclear weapons are sinful, but to protect the lives of Muslims is a HIGHER calling. So, even though we all agree nuclear weapons are sinful, it is a higher order to protect the lives of Muslims. Therefore we are forced to develop nuclear weapons against our will, and it is ok to lie to the USA and it's evil compatriots in order to obtain nuclear weapons." Is that the reality?
