daramantus Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 My friend says that zeno's paradox of arrow could be right, and motion could be like like a camera taking photos in succession? that we just move from one 'NOW' to the next. Is it right? Does zeno paradoxes apply to reality?
studiot Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So why doesn't 'your friend' join and ask his own questions?
daramantus Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 the problem is, he is affirming it, he told me this , but I didn't believe, so, I'm asking here, lol
imatfaal Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 TTBOMK we have no evidence that either time or space is quantised - ie they are continuous and there are no little jumps needed. Lots of very cutting edge hypotheses rely on quantised space or time - but at present these are very much just ideas
swansont Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 But the paradox is not like taking photos in succession, unless you typically cut the exposure in half with each shot. Who does that?
