Hi, you know how you can't do physics without math, is chem the same?

If so, what main areas are essential to learn?

Algebra is a DEFINITE subject that you need to master in order to be successful in chemistry, and some fairly simple calculus isn't required, but will be immensely helpful in certain areas.

Maybe even a 2nd level algebra class

I'm taking linear algebra at the moment and a course on matlab. Hopefuly that should be enough to get me through next semesters chemistry course.
