ecoli Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Here's a riddle for you guys...if you know it already, please don't give it away. A cowboy gets on his horse, on Monday, and rides from his town for 1 day and them journeys back the next day. He arrives back in town on Saturday. How is that possible?
Phi for All Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 You say he "rode" out of town but he "journeyed" back. Did his horse throw him and he had to walk, thus accounting for the extra days?
Hellbender Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 You say he "rode" out of town but he "journeyed" back. Did his horse throw him and he had to walk, thus accounting for the extra days? that must be it. Good catch if you are right, Phi.
Callipygous Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 oh wait, you said not to give it away, sorry if people saw that. : P
dan19_83 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 is the horses name either Monday or Saturday. silly name for a horse but it could make sense!!
Ducky Havok Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 the horse is named Saturday, since he arrives back on him. I much prefer the name Hewbert for a horse though
atinymonkey Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 is the horses name either Monday or Saturday. silly name for a horse but it could make sense!! It's the right answer, the horse is called Monday. The riddle had some translation issues before ecoli heard it.
ecoli Posted March 26, 2005 Author Posted March 26, 2005 Well.. The horse in my riddle is indeed named Saturday. I changed the name so you guys might have a harder time finding the answer by just googling it. Ok... try this one... "What always remains down even when it can float up in the air?"
ecoli Posted March 26, 2005 Author Posted March 26, 2005 Damn...I can't trick you guys, can I? Ok...one more before I give up... "A horse is tied to a 10 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 20 ft. away from him. However, the horse is still able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible"
uncool Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Another answer: The horse is at one end of the circle, and the hay at another end... -Uncool-
Anarchaus Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 "What always remains down even when it can float up in the air?" a depressed hooker on cocaine?, oh wait never mind..
