1x0 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I think information should be there as the entity determines the evolution and presence of physically presented values as energy and matter. I dare to make this assumption as information exist beyond the physical reality. Can this be right? Where am I mistaken?
studiot Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Is this a sort of is there a sound of a tree falling in the wilderness if there is no-one there to hear it question? If so, is this Science? What do you understand "information" to mean.
Endy0816 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 It doesn't exist 'beyond physical reality' in the first place. You will always be able to trace things back to some physical state.
MigL Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) Information, to the rest of us, refers to the collective properties of a system. What does it mean to you ? ( this applies to your other thread also ) Edited May 21, 2015 by MigL
Strange Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I think information should be there as the entity determines the evolution and presence of physically presented values as energy and matter. I dare to make this assumption as information exist beyond the physical reality. 1. What definition of information are you using? 2. How do you detect/measure this information? 3. How do you know that it determines the evolution and presence of physically presented values as energy and matter? What objective, repeatable measurements have you made to support this claim? 3. How do you know that information exists beyond physical reality? What objective, repeatable measurements have you made to support this claim? 4. How is this different from your other thread?
