acsinuk Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The Norfolk Island effect was discovered in 1945 when scientists found that at dawn and dust disturbances on the suns surface could interfere with radio/radar signals. So the fact that there is a magnetic link between the sun and planet was demonstrated and established. Now this link is permanent for as the earth rotates then the link advances around the world until in 24 hours it comes back to start again.
Strange Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 It is radio signals, rather than magnetic. http://www.piha.co.nz/piha-and-the-norfolk-island-effect/
acsinuk Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Yes, radio signals are magnetic waves and move at near the speed of light so are not limited to electron particles
Strange Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yes, radio signals are magnetic waves They are electromagnetic waves. are not limited to electron particles Huh!?
imatfaal Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yes, radio signals are magnetic waves and move at near the speed of light so are not limited to electron particles "near the speed of light" ? They are EMR and move at the same speed as light
