In classical physics the ions would be attracted straight toward the anode or cathode but the magnoflux spin effect as demonstrated in the salt water cell shows that the deflection is accompanied by an extra un-accounted for spin. CliveS The question for you was to point out carefully where the Lorentz force breaks down and cannot explain the phenomena you describe. As you are the one proposing that standard EM theory cannot this you will need to show people carefully why.
