I realized because im gonna be making HCl and nitric acid, why not make aqua regia too. Ive been researching this stuff and found that aqua regia is an extremely corrosive, fuming liquid. So ive found that you simply mix concentrated nitric and hydrochloric acid together in a 1 to 3 ratio. I can imagine if this came in contact with skin or eyes (beyond bad!)!!!!!!!!! Wat you get is a fuming brown liquid that can disolve gold. Can this be stored in a normal glass vessel with a stopper. And if/when i mix the acids, will there be an evolution of heat or a violent reaction that i should be aware of. I realy want to try this but i need to no more about aqua regia.

Trust me, around dangerous/corrosive/poisonous chemicals i am very safe and catious.

Realizing that you want to be safe and cautious, I HIGHLY recommend that you do more research in the use and possession of acids. NO - do not contain or store aqua regia in a stopper bottle. It will explode. The whole procedure of extracting precious metals from items at a high purity level also says it must be done by an exact and unforgiving method. Aqua Regia is NOT a play toy. So if you value your life and the lifes of those around you, do more research and do not attempt anything until you are sure you have the answers to your questions. Aqua Regia is a wonderful and fulfilling science and loads of fun if you do it right. By the way, I have been doing this for over 20 years and have yet to be careless or have an accident. Slow, patience, exact and knowledge is the key. Also be advised, I am still learning.
