alzheimers-stars supernova iron-produces potassium-microglia feed on potassium/iron cells.

This is by no means a theory, but thought it fit with the universe is a brain theory.

Examining postmortem tissue from the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease, Stanford University School of Medicineinvestigators identified what appear to be iron-containing microglia — specialized scavenger cells that sometimes become inflammatory — in a particular part of the hippocampus, a key brain structure whose integrity is critical to memory formation.

In post-mortem brain tissue from people not diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, neither the iron deposits nor the scavenger cells engulfing them were present in that brain region.

As soon as I read this about the unknown iron in the brain of an alzheimers sufferer and the inflammation caused around these areas of iron, I thought about the iron produced in a dying star(super nova) which could be classed as a type inflammation,

In the case where infectious agents are directly introduced to the brain or cross the blood–brain barrier, microglial cells must react quickly to decrease inflammation (same job as dark matter)and destroy the infectious agents before they damage the sensitive neural tissue(black holes).

 

 

Microglia (and astrocytes) are distributed in large non-overlapping regions throughout the brain and spinal cord.[2][3] Microglia are constantly scavenging the CNS for plaques, damaged neurons and infectious agents.

Microglia achieve this sensitivity in part by having unique potassium channels that respond to even small changes in extracellular potassium.[4]

Potassium is formed in the universe by nucleosynthesis from lighter atoms. The stable form of potassium is created in supernovas via the explosive oxygen-burning process.

Supernova shoot-em-ups could be responsible for Earth’s iron core. An analysis suggests that certain stars fire off massive iron bullets when they die.

The bulk of microglia found in association with iron in the study were in an activated, inflammatory state. Alzheimer’s is increasingly understood to involve "brain inflammation", and groups led by Stanford researchers such as neurologists Katrin Andreasson, MD, and Tony Wyss-Coray, PhD, and neurobiologist Ben Barres, MD, PhD,

Zeineh and Rutt said they don’t know how the iron gets into brain tissue, or why it accumulates where it does. Micro-injury to small cerebral blood vessels there was one possibility, they speculated.

I was also reading this study that certain supernova may be triggered by dark matter,

Which with the "universe/brain theory" may be the microglia attacking these stars as they enter their Iron stage., attracted by potassium which is also a product of supernova.
