petrushka.googol Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Does human topology have any link to predisposition to disease ? If we capture the silhouette of a person in 3D we can identify issues like pectus excavatum, obesity, stunted growth etc. for obvious reasons ? If we superimpose this silhoutte onto a normal persons trace we can see the deviation and presumably identify disease hotspots. Does any 3D imaging software replicate this ?
david345 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I believe the word you are looking for is topography.
petrushka.googol Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 (edited) I believe the word you are looking for is topography. Topology : Medicine The anatomical structure of a specific area or part of the body. (Source : The Free Dictionary). Edited August 20, 2015 by petrushka.googol
david345 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The same dictionary also confuses topology with topography.
petrushka.googol Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 so,topology or topography ? or both are right ? This is digressing from the main issue. Still my question remains unanswered.
