Rexspidy Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 The best source which can define nuclear Binding energy,N/P ratio ,Magic No,Mason field etc
DrP Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 (edited) The 'Best' source will depend on individual preference and upon what level you want.... As I pointed out in your other thread, I bet 'The Penguin Dictionary of Science' gives a pretty good definition/explanation as a starting point. ;-) Check it out. Or for simple definitions like that then even wiki might help you. If you really just want a definition then Wiki should be fine (in fact the PDS will be better and more concise)... if you don't understand them and want help then you have to ask a specific question. Rexspidy Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 I am at Bsc 1st year @DrP Any eBook or PDF for that dictionary
DrP Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Then 'The Penguin Dictionary of science' will be a great companion to your course books for explaining terms from the books that you do not understand. Helped me a lot. I think it comes in PDF. Type it into google - the PDF option is on there somewhere. I used to own a hard copy. Presumably you have an A-level in chemistry? (of course you do, you wouldn't be doing a degree in chemistry without one) - As I mentioned before - if you have questions, you can ask here and people will answer if able... but it has to be a specific question, not just a blanket "explain NMR" because to answer that properly we could write a book... and there is no point in that as it has been done already. I hope that helps - good luck with your course.
studiot Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 (edited) These subjects have been discussed many times at SF and at this level, have you tried searching? I would be more inclined to help further if you could have been bothered to reply in your last thread. Edited August 26, 2015 by studiot
